Visioning and Images for                                      learning futures

Visualisation and graphic representation enable teams, groups and stakeholders to engage with complexity. When ideas are sketched, mapped or diagrammed, relationships, patterns and influences across wider systems surface. Images and metaphors create movement beyond immediate problems and exploration of preferred and desirable futures, opening space for speculation, reframing and new directions.

Working visually also brings the strengths of diverse perspectives into shared spaces, ideas are negotiated and refined collectively. Visual artefacts aid groups to recognise and grapple with threshold concepts —transformative insights that reshape understanding and practice.  Visioning becomes a powerful medium for collaboration and the co-creation of learning futures. It can be the language that unlocks 'beyond the box' considerations - give it a try yourselves!.

Our Artist in residence helps shared creation and exploration through visioning, supporting sparks to enable thinking differently, more collaboratively, more radically about your aspirations. Visioning and  imaging have helped many teams and organisations to work towards new  goals and ambitions. Images can be the language that unlocks 'beyond the box' considerations. I'd go as far as to say- beyond AI and focusing on our most human skills ;).

We've included some photos that portray the intense industry, fun and engagement of teams as they worked through some of our workshops and Carpe Diem experiences, using images
.
We encourage visioning at the beginning of Carpe Diem learning design - helps with future thinking, focus and shared direction.
