I advise institutions and organisations on implementing online education, digital learning and artificial intelligence at scale to enable greater future success.
Over more than three decades in higher and further education, EdTech and public sectors, I have led large-scale online expansion, established futures-focused academic centres, developed new delivery models, and supported organisations through structural change, including mergers, partnerships and integration.
Executive leadership roles in the UK and Australia, alongside advisory appointments in Ireland and Portugal and long-standing involvement in major international sector forums, inform a practical understanding of implementation across diverse institutional environments. I am now CEO and Principal Consultant of Education Alchemists Ltd, working with universities and organisations on AI policy, online education and learning futures. My experience as a HE Pro Vice-Chancellor, academic director and FE governor further informs a grounded understanding of accountability, sustainability and long-term directions.
My frameworks — notably the 5-Stage Model, Carpe Diem Learning Design, E-tivities and the 4-Quadrant Education Innovation — are widely adopted and underpin my advisory work and enable immediate professional development support if required. The focus is practical: aligning institutional direction with faculty and departmental implementation so that AI and digital initiatives deliver measurable impact for staff and students.
