Learning Design Manager
Swinburne Online, Melb, Australia
Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your relationship to e-tivities:
I joined Swinburne Online as a learning designer in September 2011 and had initial responsibility for designing and developing eight units for fully online delivery in March 2012. I now manage a team of ten including eight learning designers, information specialist and online quality editor.
Prior to this I was an academic educational developer, and Program Coordinator and tutor in the Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education at Swinburne University of Technology. For the past 15 years I have worked with academics across a range of disciplines to develop more flexible, online and blended learning and teaching experiences. This has included designing and developing online activities, assessments and resources.
The opportunity to work at SOL has been a wonderful chance to focus on one pedagogical delivery model and design high quality learning experiences that meet the needs of 21st century learners.
